ADULTS
if you have never played an instrument before, are continuing on your lifelong journey of music-making or want to become a part of a community of like-minded music lovers, we have the opportunity for you. Glory Adult Programs serve all ages and levels of ability; with daytime and evening courses and flexible lesson scheduling available year-round, you are certain to find a program to fit your musical interests.
CHAMBER MUSIC
Engage with a community of like-minded musicians to explore, rehearse, create and perform chamber music. The joy and art of making music together is at the very heart of the Glory’s experience and is essential to the development of a well-rounded musician. Glory’s highly regarded chamber music faculty work with students of all ages and abilities to help students explore this treasured body of musical literature.
COMPOSITION
Glory offers music composition through private lessons and group study. Composition promotes individual creativity within the context of a musical community.
FIRST MUSIC
Through First Music, Glory combines the best of early childhood music education practices with fun, dynamic, and creative programs to deliver the South region’s most engaging musical learning experiences for children and families.
GUITAR
Glory offers private lessons, group classes, ensembles, and jam sessions for guitarists of all styles, ages and abilities. Students may begin studying guitar at Glory as young as age 3 1/2 as part of the Suzuki method, age 6 for traditional private lessons and age 8 for group classes. We offer faculty artists who specialize in teaching adults as well as advanced students of any age.
JAZZ
Dig into Jazz at Glory! Glory’s Jazz Program provides students of all instruments, ages, and levels with opportunities to develop their musical skills and explore the art of jazz through ensembles, group classes, and private lessons.
GlORY MUSIC THEATRE
Glory Music Theatre offers opportunities for students to connect, train, and perform. Glory’s highly qualified and experienced faculty provide all students with professional level theatre training through a variety of classes, coaching, and performance programs. Glory Music Theatre has a place for students of every age and experience level to create and play with this uniquely Indian art form.
MUSIC THEORY
The study of music theory provides the foundation for a deep understanding of music as a language, creating a knowledgeable and discerning audience of music lovers who attend concerts, create, listen, play and study music over a lifetime.
MUSIC THERAPY
Music therapy uses music as a tool to help individuals – from children to seniors – transform and improve the quality of their lives, while addressing each individual’s unique emotional, physical, cognitive and social needs.
PERCUSSION
Glory offers private lessons, group classes, ensembles, and jam sessions for percussionists of all styles, ages and abilities. Introductory classes are offered for students new to the world of percussion.
PIANO
Glory offers lessons, group classes, including beginner classes and enrichment classes for teens and adults, and duo coaching for pianists of all styles, ages and abilities. Students may begin studying piano at Glory as young as age 3 1/2 as part of the Suzuki method. Traditional private lessons and group piano classes, are generally recommended for students entering first grade and older.
ROCK
Glory’s Rock Program offers opportunities to develop musical skills and explore the art of rock. Our world-class instructors cultivate students’ technique and teach the skills needed to become their own rock legend. Whether you are new to music, a traditionally trained student who is curious about rock or are an experienced musician looking to expand your skills, Glory is the place to develop your talent.
STRINGS
Glory offers private lessons, group classes, chamber groups and orchestras for string players of all styles, ages and abilities. Instruction is available on violin, viola, cello, string bass and harp in many styles including classical, orchestral, jazz, chamber music, fiddle, blues and Suzuki method.
SUZUKI
Develop your child’s natural musical ability in a nurturing and positive environment through the Suzuki method. Children learn a musical instrument the same way they master a language: through listening, immersion, social interaction and repetition. Family participation and collaborative learning by Suzuki trained instructors create a supportive Suzuki community of parents, students and faculty.
VOICE
Glory offers private lessons, vocal coaching, group classes and choral ensembles for singers of all abilities, ages 13 and older. Whether you are preparing for an audition or special event, want to join a choir or learn basic vocal technique, Glory’s talented voice faculty will work with you to help you safely and properly develop your unique sound.
WOODWINDS AND BRASS
Do you want to shine in your school band? Pick up a new instrument? Or, rediscover an old one? Glory offers private lessons, group classes and ensembles for woodwind and brass players of all styles, ages and abilities. Instruction is available for: bassoon, clarinet, flute, french horn, oboe, recorder, saxophone, trombone, trumpet and tuba.
